Happiness

The night has hit it's peak
The air has became cold
The street is soundless but those few cars
It's now 3am

Why am I still up?
I just wasted the last 3 hours..
Did I not enjoy it?
Absolutely not.
But am I happy?
No. Not really.


I laugh but it's hollow
I smile but I'm frowning
I socialize but I'm alone
I'm affectionate...
But really I'm absent

What is happiness?
The sound of laughter?
The sight of a smile?
The absence of sadness? Maybe.

I really should be sleeping...

Happiness is a rare delicacy
something that has been overlooked
It's hard to taste
Sometimes hardly tangible

There is one thing that' makes me sad,
but it is also the only thing that i find joy in...
Tell me, is love the experience of every emotion?

Tears

Tears Tears why do you chase me?
Is there no one else to catch tonight but me?
Should you hunt me down until I'm conquered by your power?

What is your purpose?
Will you not accept my plead?
Can you not sympathize with my overwhelming misfortunes?

We search...

We Search, hour by hour,
We Search, Minute by minute,
We Search.

For answers untold,
For truths to unfold.
We Search...

Aimlessly without direction,
seeking aid to our void.

For forms of love,
only to silence true love.

How long will it take for us to see,
that we are not supposed to flee?
From the one who calls us child,
who yearns to set us free.

We search, day by day,
for ways to silence what is unseen,
because fear grabs a hold of us,
So tangible, you beg for mercy.

We Search, for alternatives,
for paths easily seen,
We search, to put to sleep our dreams,
maybe, just maybe,
this may cease the torment and despair inflicted to the heart.

We see, an open doorway,
to a life of ease,
flat is the path before our eyes,
trickery always convinces the fool.

We look deeper, our hearts now crumbled,
filled with regrets, with no hope in sight,
on this path of ease.

Again, We Search,
realizing there's no other way,
We Search, for the path of our destiny.
But the tenacious spirit of fear never fails to threaten the soul.
We are frightened of what we see,
but We fight, fighting the intimidations of fear,
just for a glimpse of our destiny.
We cry, We yell, We Scream, We take victory,
We keep searching...

Another open doorway beholds us,
the doorway to our destiny.
No, the path was not straight,
neither was it flat,
nor is it clear to our senses.

The mind begins to doubt,
but our hearts screams out,
deafening to the core yet so clear,
It is difficult to ignore,
So we look, deeper into our destiny.

We see, a life so clear,
filled with joy and hope.
But risky is the path to our dream,
again we attempt to search for another,
Hush, we say.

This time, there's no avoiding,
no running, no hiding,
until death approaches,
the desires of the heart always triumphs.

Spiritual warfare - I will trust in the Lord

I shall trust in the Lord,
For His promises are Yes! and Amen!

He is Good all the time,
He is my stronghold at times of trouble,
and He knows me intimately because I trust in Him.

Indeed! I will prosper,
for I am blessed coming in and going out.

His word declares the truth,
and His Spirit I shall trust.
My hope and my trust is set on the Lord,
and like Abram, He has credited it to me as righteousness,
because I trust in Him.

No, I have not gained righteousness,
nor can I ever.

I shall love the Lord,
with all my heart and soul,
The Lord always preserves the faithful.
And the Lord will avenge and repay in full the proud!

I will be strong and take heart!
For that is His command!
I will step out with strength and courage,
I will not be terrified by my enemies,
nor will i be shaken.

For greater is He who is in us,
than the one who is in the World!

I will trust in the Lord.

Know Your God.

I was blind, but now I see.
Whenever and Wherever,
You are always there for me.

When I search for Your presence You show me Yourself.
Never do I wish to part from this.
Some say, Man's love for God is tested by God hiding from us.
But the God I know, loves me beyond measure.
He would never hide from me,
Your promises are always true,
that You will never leave me,
nor will You forsake me.

Oh, Your love so amazing,
How could this be?
You pull down the opinions of man,
and make all things new.

There is a difference between,
simply caring for someone,
and truly loving someone.

You show me the depth of Your love,
not just towards the people who love You.
But you announce to all,
that everyone is YOUR people,
every single person on this Earth are Your Sons and Daughters.

No one is superior,
not one.
We are all made in Your image,
ALL crowned with Glory.
All called for a purpose.

You have called us all,
Your love is so amazing.

What is this yearning?

I've sat here for along time,
staring at the screen before me,
mezmerising probabilities.

The dreams of my heart,
so close, yet so far.
oh my soul yearns,
As if it is trying desperately to break free.

Free from control,
Free from being afraid,
Free from false humility,
Free from false reality.

When will I let go?
When will I start to dream?
